When you click the Download Image button to your left, you will be prompted to download the Taxi Fleet Manager software for Taxi Owners, Taxi Owner Drivers and Fleet Managing Firms and Fleet Managers. You can chose to save it or run it. If you chose to save it, you have the advantage that if you need another copy, you do not need to download it again. But remember that we do improvements on our software on a regular bases, so ensure that your saved copy is the latest. If you chose to save it, you can burn your own CD, and keep a copy of the software on your own CD. If you chose to save it, remember where you have saved it into, find the saved file and double click for installation. We recommend to save it first as it makes it easier for you to install it again.

The current and latest Sub Version is 15 dated on 4. February 2012. This is Taxi Fleet Manager version 3.

Sub version 2  has following feature added:
The last shift you have added can be deleted. This enables you to delete the latest shift which you have added and add it again, in case a mistake has been made. In this way the last shift can be edited.

Sub version 3 has many bug fixes which will effect easy and medium shift adds, new facilities when adding the first shift with the start up figures pre-set for each car.

Sub version 4 has messages for Windows Vista and Windows 7 users, a new Help file and the installation does not require a restart.

Sub version 5 is now made for Windows Vista and Windows 7 32 and 64 bit computers. The start up Windows Vista and Windows 7 message can now be disabled. A new main feature is also that if the user misses the SQL 2005 database driver installation, instead of allowing a non responsive Taxi Fleet Manager application to open up, it will prompt the user to install the database engine. This would fix the issues we were having when users installed the software but missed the database engine installation during the first installation process.

Sub version 6 has a help file you can access for the set up and repair of the SQL2005 database engine. It also has a few bug fixes. We can now also see the sub versions on your error log if you sent it to us. The old errors will be deleted if a later sub version replaces an older version. This makes debugging problems a lot easier.

Sub version 7 will install a short cut on the Desktop and All Programs for Help. You can now view the help book without starting the application. It also creates another short cut for the database engine help book (but only in the All Programs section) and this help file has been improved. More importantly the time out for connecting to the database has been increased from 30 seconds to one minute. This will ensure that if the computer is busy and it takes too long to open the database, it will not go into an error in 30 seconds but will wait for another 30 seconds.

Sub version 8 will fix a bug fix that seems to happen with the later operating systems. It happened when changing the tax year, an error message comes up and the tax year cannot be changed.
We have found that some users have experience difficulties changing the tax year. This problem should now be fixed with Sub version 8. We seem to have fixed this with this latest subversion, but should there still be a problem the alternative way changing the tax year : On the Main top Menu click Tools > Configure Application and change the tax year from there instead of Tools > Set Current Year. And if this problem is still there, please send us an email - remember you are doing us a favor.

Sub version 9 Bug fix as follows:
Often the user does not set up the database engine as it should be. Then when the user wants to display data on the application window, nothing comes up except an error message that generally does not make any sence to the user. This sub version makes sure, that if the SQL2005 database engine has not yet started on the computer, the application will take care of it and start it up. There is also a Menu under Help, where by the click of a button we can start the DBEngine if not started.

Also from this subversion on, when there is a newer sub version available from the server, it prompts the user to automatically update. The user can then click a button and this starts downloading a later sub version. There is also a Menu Link for newer version check and download prompt.

Sub version 10 Added facilities:

• Generate and Print individual Driver Invoices.
• Add company details to application to show on Invoices.
• Purchase software through SSL increased customer security

Sub version 11 Bug fixes:
Fixed up the Database Back Up Form. Also facilitated so that when you come to our credit card facility on our web site from the Applications purchase form, the web page will know your hardware code. There is no more need to copy from the application and paste into the web site form. It is done automatically.

Sub version 12 TAXI FLEET MANAGER VERSION 3 FROM NOW ON:
Much more powerfull and much easier to use. The driver share can now be set for each shift and also driver expenses can be shared. The inclusion of  Wheel Chair Fees. Shift Management has been completely overhauled. BIG IMPROVEMENTS AND MANY CHANGES!!!

Please do not keep the old version - get the latest. It is worth it. And it is free.

Sub version 13 Bug Fixes:
There were some real bugs, please make sure you update your version.

Sub version 14 Bug Fix:
Final Tax Year Report, Taxi Shift Expenses bug fix. Expenses showed all to be nil. Please get latest version.

Sub version 15, from 4.February 2012 Bug Fix and Additional Improvements:
Unwanted Dollar sign removed where it should be Kilometers. You can now navigate to the Cars Page to set the start up figures for the car from the Shift Add Page. And you will also be prompted when you change tax year if you want to import data from the previous year.

SOME BASIC INFORMATION:

• Drivers who share a percentage with the owners.
• Drivers who share a percentage with the owners and pay a shift levy in addition.
• Drivers who take 100% of their takings (no owner share), but pay the owner a fixed fee (shift levy).
• Drivers can include their own fuel payment if they have to purchase their own fuel.

How to set up the Taxi Accountant:

If the owner does not get any share of the takings:

• Open the cars tab, and set each car for 100% driver take.
• In the Shift tab, you must enter the levy paid to the owner.
• If the driver pays his own fuel, he/she must put the fuel cost into the shift table.

If for example the same car, let's say car 33, has owner share for day drivers, but no owner share for night drivers, you must add the car in the cars table twice and set the driver percentage accordingly. For instance:

• Car 33-Day, the driver share = 50%;
• Car 33-Night, the driver share = 100%;

In this way you have the same car twice in your cars table, for two different conditions.

Daily shift reports:

There is no requirements to do an entrance for every day. This is optional. The software only needs monthly takings to calculate GST and tax reports. However the user can do a daily shift report if he wishes, and then by the click of a button generate monthly reports from the daily reports. The monthly reports are mandatory for this software to work

Description:

This software is ideal for Owners and Fleet Managers. If they drive taxicabs that belong to someone else, they also need the Taxi Accountant. If they are owner-drivers, they only need the Taxi Fleet Manager.

This is a database-based program (with a free Microsoft SQL 2005 EXPRESS database). It enables to do Accounting and Book works for all owners and taxi vehicles. It even calculates GST for each taxi owner. It produces calculated and summarize powerful crystal reports.

The drivers, owners and cars are added to the database and then are used to log all the shifts with their takings and expenditure.
