DESKTOP APPLICATION SOFTWARE

Werner Sandner, Programming Engineer and Manager

Software for your office and home.

Supremweb can build any software for your office and home. As we are a highly professional firm, we do not suggest to write software in Visual Basics (VB), even though we can do that if this is a customer requirement. We do not regard VB as a "programming language" as it is basically for persons, who want to be able to write software but who are not professional programmers. Many companies, especially in Australia are too undedicated and do not wish to spend the resources to insure that programmers are professional and object orientated. Object orientated means, that software can be developed in producing many different components and then these components can be reused. This makes writing software so much more efficient in regard to functionality and end consumer cost. Most Australian companies that develop software, don't even write in C#.NET. They use VB.NET only. This is the difference between us and them.

Even though, we can write office programs as well as Internet programs in different languages, such as VB 6, DELPHI 6 and JAVA, our specialty is in C#.NET. The sky is the limit with what we can do.

Office programs can be used over a network may it be local or world wide. They can have many functions and some of them are:

  • Manipulate a database. Add, edit and delete records in a database.
  • View and manage a database. This may be anything you can think of.
  • View and manipulate databases from your office, which are on web servers. You can be connected to a database somewhere in the world which resides on a web server. This database may or may not be used for a web sites. Not all web sites are for viewing. Many sites are just for the provision and supply of data.
  • Connect to a universal database anywhere in the world. View and or manipulate this database or use the data derived from a database anywhere in the world.
  • Provide data for others through a network. This can be world wide
  • The use of web services to connect, provide and / or supply data to anyone in the world.
  • The use of other office software, may they use data from somewhere or may they not.
  • Anything else you can think of.
